NO Excuses
NO Excuses focuses on aspirations for the community, through advocacy, with emphasis on preventing violence, sexual misconduct, toxic behaviors, and abuse. Scholars create projects that can help start the conversations in our communities. What can that look like? Our youth have created a coloring book, podcast, Tik Tok page, and comic book.

How can we tell a story and give resources in a form that our peers would look at? A comic! NOE created a comic looking at IPV and parental abuse, diving into what it looks like, the effects of it and how to help.

NOE scholars wanted to express their true selves and share how highschool life is in the south end of Seattle through a student led podcast.

How can we start the talk about violence prevention sooner? NOE created an interactive coloring book for elementary aged students in hopes of guiding healthier conversations with adults and scholars around social emotional learning
